Barretstown Kids Camp – Contracts Signing

We are delighted to announce that SE Systems are currently working on two very exciting projects with Barretstown in Co Kildare.

In partnership with the Senior Management team in Barretstown, SE Systems are carrying out a deep retrofit to 15 cottages and carrying out energy efficiency upgrades to staff accommodation buildings. In alignment with the deep retrofit project, SE Systems are also working with MDO Architects to carry out turnkey internal refurbishment works to their cottages. These upgrades will provide a foundation to assist Barretstown in becoming a Carbon Neutral facility by 2030 and will provide more comfortable accommodation for the children and families using them as well as substantially cutting the energy costs and carbon emissions for the charity. This project has received grant funding from the SEAI’s Community Energy Grant and additional funding via SE Systems from Corporate donations.

In addition, SE Systems are currently working on a Photovoltaic proposal for Barretstown which will generate up to 25% of their electrical consumption annually.

We congratulate Barretstown on receiving The Sustainable Development Award at The Kildare Business Awards recently, and the team at SE Systems look forward to working in partnership with Barretstown in future years to assist them in their goal to become a carbon neutral facility.
