SE Systems Extend Our Long-Standing Partnership with Cork Camogie, Now as the Official Sustainability Partner
At SE Systems, we believe real partnerships are built on shared values, long-term commitment, and meaningful community impact. That’s why we’re proud to announce the extension of our sponsorship with Cork Camogie for another three years – and this time, we’re taking it a step further.
We’re not just continuing our support of the Adult and Minor County Championships. We’re stepping up as Cork Camogie’s Official Sustainability Partner, helping to shape a future where sport and sustainability go hand in hand.
A Partnership with Purpose
The announcement was celebrated at Cork Camogie’s headquarters in Blackrock, where we gathered with members of the County Board and the captains representing all 70 affiliated clubs to reflect on what’s been achieved so far – and, more importantly, what’s next.
We’ve always believed that businesses should give something back to the communities that support them. For us, that means more than just financial sponsorship. It means using our expertise to create a lasting impact.
As part of this next chapter, we’ll be delivering energy upgrades at the Castle Road Pavilion – Cork Camogie’s administrative and training hub. This project will include an energy audit, grant support through SEAI, and the installation of solar PV panels and EV chargers – all at no cost to the County Board.
It’s a practical, purpose-driven project that will directly reduce the Pavilion’s energy use and help future-proof the facility for years to come.
Supporting Female Sport and Grassroots Communities
We’re particularly proud to continue supporting Cork Camogie – an organisation that plays a vital role in the growth of female sport in Ireland. Female athletes and clubs often face greater challenges in achieving visibility and funding, and we’re committed to supporting them in a meaningful way, not just symbolically.
That’s why we’re also launching a new solar fundraising initiative to support clubs across the county. For every domestic solar installation completed and linked to a club, we’ll donate €500 to the local club and €500 to Cork Camogie. This creates a sustainable revenue stream that directly benefits grassroots development while advancing local climate goals.
It’s a simple model with real potential to drive both community growth and environmental action – two things we care deeply about.
A Shared Vision for the Future
Reflecting on this renewed partnership, our Co-founder and CEO John O’Leary, put it best:
“We are proud to continue our support of Cork Camogie, who play such an important role in Cork GAA and the wider sporting community. We believe that wherever possible, businesses should give something back. Supporting Cork Camogie through our team’s expertise and financial contributions is something we’re genuinely passionate about.”
Our partnership goes beyond sponsorship – it’s about helping Cork Camogie become a national leader in climate action within Irish sport. We’re here to deliver real projects, create measurable impact, and champion local initiatives that drive long-term change.
As Pádraig Treacy, Chairperson of Cork Camogie, said on the day:
“The planned upgrades to the Castle Road Pavilion and the launch of the solar fundraising scheme are major steps forward. Having a sustainability partner like SE Systems not only benefits Cork Camogie and our clubs financially but also sets a powerful example for how sport can contribute to climate action.”
Looking Ahead
This partnership is part of our wider commitment to supporting communities, championing female sport, and driving Ireland’s energy transition.
We’re excited about what we can achieve together over the next three years – on the pitch, in the community, and for the climate.
