SE Systems to Create 150 Jobs as Part of National Growth Plan
New Cork HQ officially opened as turnover targets double by 2030.
SE Systems has announced it will create up to 150 jobs over the next two years, as part of a growth strategy that will see annual turnover rise from €50 million to €100 million by 2030. The announcement comes as demand from homeowners, communities and businesses for solar and energy retrofit schemes continues to grow.
A New Home in Cork
The jobs announcement was made alongside the official opening of SE Systems’ new Cork HQ by EU Commissioner Michael McGrath. SEAI CEO William Walsh was also in attendance, underlining the significance of the announcement for Ireland’s wider energy and retrofit sector. The new office is an A-rated 15,000 sq ft building in Dublin Hill.
Commissioner McGrath described SE Systems as “a prime example of a home-grown business going from strength to strength,” adding that the creation of 150 jobs was “welcome news in any sector, but especially in the renewable and green economy.”
The €3 million investment in the building forms part of a wider national growth strategy that also includes expanding the company’s Dublin office and developing new regional hubs in Clare, Donegal and Louth.
Founded in 2010, SE Systems currently employs 112 staff, supported by a network of 300 specialist subcontractors. The company has retrofitted almost 15,000 homes and 2,000 commercial buildings to date, working with partners including Tesco, ESB Smart Energy Services, Stryker and Johnson & Johnson.
Investing in People
Of the 150 roles, recruitment will span engineering, project management, energy services, software and digital technologies, operations, technical support and business development, creating opportunities for both experienced professionals and those newer to the workforce.

Since 2010, SE Systems has helped unlock nearly €1 billion in energy-saving grants for customers, and now processes around €100 million in commercial and community energy grants annually. Projects delivered through the company have saved over 1.6 billion kWh of energy and 358,000 tonnes of CO2.
As Ireland continues to work towards its 2030 climate targets, SE Systems says the expansion will allow it to support more homeowners, businesses and communities on their energy journey — while building the skilled workforce needed to get there.
