How were the winners chosen?
All applications were reviewed and scored out of 100 points using our published scoring matrix with weighted criteria to prioritise environmental, social, and financial impact as well as project readiness and evidence of match funding.
Can I find out why our organisation wasn’t selected?
Unfortunately, due to the high number of applications received, we’re unable to provide individual feedback. However, please don’t be disheartened by this, as the quality of the applications was extremely high and the selection process was very competitive. We encourage you to review the eligibility and selection criteria before the next funding round.
Were applications from specific regions or sectors prioritised?
No. The Fund supports a wide mix of organisations across Ireland – from sports clubs and day care centres to arts, social, and environmental groups. Our goal is national reach and diversity of impact, rather than representation by category or county.
How much funding did each winning organisation receive?
Grant amounts varied from €2,500 to €30,000 depending on project scale, energy-saving potential, and alignment with the fund objectives.
Can we reapply in the next round?
Yes. We welcome repeat applications from eligible organisations, particularly if your project has been further developed or refined since your last submission.
When will the next round of funding open?

Can we get advice to strengthen our next application?
Yes. Our Community Fund team regularly shares guidance and best practices on preparing successful applications. Keep an eye on the News & Insights section of our website for updates and tips.
Are there other ways SE Systems can support our organisation?
Yes. Even if your project didn’t receive funding, SE Systems can provide technical advice, energy audits, partnership opportunities and grant facilitation through our Community Energy Grant Programme. You can contact our team to explore potential collaboration.
Will there be a list of future opportunities?
Yes. Upcoming funding rounds, training sessions, and community energy initiatives will be announced through our newsletter and social channels.
When were applicants notified of the outcome of their application?
All applicants were sent a decision notification email by the 12th September 2025. Emails were sent to the email address provided on the application form.
What should I do if I haven’t received a decision notification email yet?
Decision notifications were sent to the email address provided on the application form. If you did not receive this email, please email us at communityfund@sesystems.ie from the email address provided in your application. Unfortunately, we cannot disclose information about the application to anyone other than the applicant.
