At SE Systems we understand the significance of energy costs for retailers as part of their overall operating costs. We provide a range of energy solutions to help your bottom line and make a big difference environmentally.
We have successfully supported retailers such as Tesco’s, Dunnes, Lidl, Circle K, Supervalu and Centra stores across Ireland with SEAI grant coordination and project management. These works included refrigeration upgrades, heat pumps, LED Lighting, Solar PV, and energy monitoring. We have assisted these projects with energy audits and applied for SEAI Community Energy grants.
Where should I start?
Whether you are a family run business or have multiple units we have a range of solutions to help you reduce your energy demands. The first step on your decarbonisation journey would be to carry out an energy audit so that you can understand your energy usage. This will identify what energy upgrades would make most financial sense by identifying the costs of the upgrades and estimating annual cost savings. For clients with multiple units, we can assist with developing multi annual decarbonisation strategies.
I contacted SE Systems as I was interested in upgrading the refrigeration in my shop. They carried out a detailed energy audit which identified other energy saving measures that would also help reduce my energy bills such as installing timeclocks on under sink water heaters, HVAC split unit upgrades, cold stop curtains, replacing remaining non-energy efficient lights to LED and installing solar PV to generate electricity. The energy audit clearly identified how much energy savings could be achieved from upgrading these other measures as well as the return on my investment. Their team was then able to advise me on SEAI grants and then managed the whole grant process for me.

Measures supported
SE Systems can assist retailers apply for grant funding for the following energy upgrades.

- Renewable Energy Solutions (Heat Pumps, solar PV, and biomass)
- Technological Improvements (refrigeration, chillers, or controls upgrades)

Grants available
Retailers can apply for grants of up to 30% for their energy efficiency upgrades under the SEAI’s Community Grant Programme.
